Gold panning for kids is a fun, educational activity. Kids learn about the world around them by looking for real "treasure" right in their own backyard, or on a planned prospecting trip. The pans, called "gravity traps" have built in 90 degree ridges to keep the gold (which is heavier) IN while everything else washes out.
